How I can help

A clear way forward.
Whatever you’re facing.

The person in your corner

I’m John.
Your solicitor.

From our first conversation
to the conclusion of your case.

John Violaris.A little more about me

Behind every case is a person.
That’s where I start.

Everybody has their own story and no case is ever the same. When the police accuse you of wrong it’s rattling. The best lawyers aren’t just masters in advocacy. They’re stress relievers who are excellent with people from all walks of life.

When you hire me you get me. No secretaries answering the phone or strangers turning up at Court. I will know your background and understand your best interests. I offer a personalised service where you stay in the loop.

Criminal proceedings are far less stressful when the process is clear and you know what to expect at every given stage.

Direct access

I’ll be handling your case from start to finish.

Clear advice

Understand your options and possible outcomes.

Personal attention

Your circumstances shape the approach.

Why instruct me

You hire a solicitor.
You should get one.

Large firms sell you a brand,
then hand you to whoever is free.

  • 01

    One solicitor, start to finish

The solicitor you speak to on the phone is the one who presents your evidence and stands up for you in court. No hand-offs, no agents.

  • 02

    Fixed fees, agreed up front

You’ll know exactly what your case costs before you instruct me. No hourly meter, no open-ended billing, no unexpected invoices.

  • 03

    Two decades of criminal practice

Qualified in 2005 and have been representing clients ever since. I know how these hearings run and how the Court thinks.

  • 04

    Honest advice, not sales talk

I will tell you if you have a defence worth running — and I will tell you just as plainly when mitigation is the better route.

Police station representation

Interview under caution?
Allow me to help.

Whether you’ve been arrested or invited to attend a voluntary interview, it can be a harrowing experience. Some cases are made or broken at the interview stage. Having someone there who understands this well can put you at a significant advantage. When your police interview representative has practical experience in dealing with cases that go all the way to trial, they have the foresight to advise you comprehensively. When your ‘solicitor’ is unclear about how things could pan out, they could give you the wrong advice.

What happens next

Less uncertainty.
Less stress

You don’t have to work it all out today.
It starts with a conversation.

  1. 01

    We talk.

Start by telling me what’s happened and what’s worrying you. The first conversation is free, confidential and comes with no obligation.

  2. 02

    We make a plan.

I’ll explain where you stand, talk you through your options and agree a clear strategy with you.

  3. 03

    I prepare.

I examine the evidence, identify the issues and prepare your case thoroughly, keeping you informed and ready at every stage.

  4. 04

    I stand beside you.

The solicitor who advises you is the solicitor who prepares your case and represents you in court. One point of contact. Personal representation from start to finish.

In their words

People who were
where you are now.

Every case is different.
What stays the same is who handles it.

I had an excellent experience with John throughout my driving offence case. He was extremely articulate, knowledgeable, supportive and reassuring from start to finish.
TeniDriving offences
John explained the situation clearly, identified that the prosecution’s evidence had weaknesses, and negotiated a resolution that kept me on the road. He was the only solicitor I called who actually listened to the details before quoting me.
Henry ParsonsDriving offences
Fantastic service and excellent communication. Very reasonably priced and would highly recommend. Thank you!

Let’s be clear

Good advice starts
with honesty.

Whether you want to hold your hands up and plead guilt or to fight your case all the way, I will give you my honest opinion regardless of how much this impacts your legal fees.

FAQs

Everyone who is interviewed under Caution (whether by the police or the local authority) for any offence is entitled to state funded legal representation. John would represent you through his sister firm Darryl Ingram Solicitors and you would not have to pay anything for this.

If you are in receipt of benefits or earn under £1,500 per month and have been charged with an imprisonable offence (note most driving offences are excluded), you are likely to be eligible for legal aid at Court. John would refer you to his sister firm Darryl Ingram solicitors who would apply for legal aid on your behalf. Unfortunately, it may not be John who handles your case or represents you at Court.

If you instruct John privately, you can pay in full when you officially instruct him, or by instalments before each main stage of your proceedings.

Yes, if you instruct John privately you will only deal with John. Personal representation is central to this practice and John will deal with your case from start to finish.

John represents clients across England and Wales. Share the location of your case when you get in touch so he can discuss costs in relation to this.

Any letters, notices or case papers that you are in possession of. The dates of any hearings or police interviews, paperwork detailing the alleged offence(s) and the contact details of the officer in charge would all be of use.

Make the date and urgency clear when contacting John. For an urgent hearing or interview, please call 07427260293 for a speedy response.
